Yoga 2.0

OK...so trying to get back into the swing of things by going to the gym again. I've been off for a couple of weeks due to sickness (prior to quitting) and really nasty weather. So I go to Yoga last night-easy class. Supposedly Vinyasa Yoga 1. That's right 1...as in the number "one." Simple stuff...great way to get back into the swing of things...

Well, it became abundantly clear that I was either in the wrong class or the instructor was, because this class was WAY beyond my skill level! Lucky for me, I have taken enough yoga classes to know many of the moves she was telling us to do, but she wasn't giving any instruction. Also, I remembered to use a lot of the modifications throughout the class, like keeping my knee down, using my block, BREATHING!!! Turns out the instructor thought she was teaching a higher level class and it WAS supposed to be Vinyasa 1. Whew...thought I was in real trouble if I couldn't keep up with the most basic class!

That said, quitting smoking can be relatively unpleasant just in the physical sense. Although I am not really irritable, thanks to my e-cigs, but I am experiencing my body cleansing itself. Coughing up crug from my lungs. Sometimes wierd breathing patterns. A bit hazy, headachy, and just plain "off." But I will continue the path toward healing and am proud to begin my 11th day as a non-smoker!!!
